I’m Ryan Joffe, a State Farm Insurance agent in Mesa, Arizona. Before opening Joffe State Farm Agency, I spent more than 20 years in commercial banking, SBA lending and commercial real estate, working with families, entrepreneurs and business owners.

I moved to the United States from South Africa in 2001. The plan was to stay for about a year.

Arizona and the USA had other ideas.

Over the years, I noticed something: people could spend months researching a home, vehicle or business decision and only a few minutes thinking about the insurance protecting it.

Not because they did not care. Insurance can be complicated, and too often nobody slows down long enough to explain it.

That observation became a big part of why I opened this agency.

Most people have insurance. Far fewer know exactly what they have, why they have it or whether it still makes sense.

My team and I want to help change that.

How We Approach Insurance

Our philosophy is pretty simple:

Slow down. Ask questions. Understand what you have. Then decide.

We help customers understand their coverage, limits, deductibles, exclusions and available options without assuming that changing insurance companies or adding more coverage is automatically the answer.

Sometimes we find something that deserves attention. Sometimes there is an opportunity to save money. And sometimes we look at what someone already has and it makes sense.

All three can be good outcomes.

With auto insurance, we help Arizona drivers understand what they’re actually paying for, including liability, comprehensive and collision coverage, uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage, deductibles, limits and available discounts.

For homeowners’ insurance, we look at how the home, and your circumstances may have changed since the policy was written. That can include dwelling coverage, personal property, liability, deductibles and additional living expenses.

With life insurance, the conversation starts with the people who would feel the financial impact if you were no longer there. We look at your income, family situation, existing coverage and the people who depend on you before discussing options.

We also help with renters and condo insurance, motorcycle insurance, RV and camper insurance, boat insurance, classic and collector cars, pet insurance and income protection.

Working with business owners is especially meaningful to me because it connects directly to my career before insurance.

Can you review insurance I already have?

Absolutely. You don’t need to be insured with our agency for us to have a conversation about your coverage. We can help you understand what you currently have and identify anything that may deserve a closer look.

What if my current insurance already makes sense?

We’ll tell you. A useful insurance review doesn’t have to end with a new policy. Sometimes confirming that what you already have still makes sense is valuable by itself.

What if I just want a second opinion?

That’s perfectly fine. You don’t have to change your insurance to better understand it.
